The IVEC/ISVS 2010 Commitee is pleased to announce that we are calling for posters from young practicing Vascular Surgeons, Interventional Cardiologists and Radiologists. This will give many an opportunity to present their work to a distinguished panel of world-renown experts. In order to participate, you must be a member of the ISVS. Note: 20- 30 posters will be selected by a distinguished panel of judges and will be viewed throughout the IVEC/ISVS Joint Congress. The Poster session will open at 08.30 on Friday October 22, 2010 \ and will close at 4:00 p.m. the same day in the Conference Area of the Melià hotel in Milan, Italy. Our panel of judges will select the three best awards based on the posters and a three minute presentation.
Prizes: First prize ($1,000) 2nd ($500) and 3rd ($300). Prizes will be awarded at the awarding ceremony scheduled for Saturday the 23rd at the close of the Congress. You must be present at the awarding ceremony to accept your award.
Authors of accepted abstracts will be entitled to a reduction of 50% on the Registration Fee to attend the congress (€300,00 VAT included) or to a discounted fee of €150,00.
Photographs will be taken with the panel of judges and he winners will receive an ISVS certificate.

Upon receipt of this required information, your abstract will be forwarded to the IVEC/ISVS executive committee. 37th Annual VEITHsymposium in New York. November 17-21, 2010. Fourth annual ISVS Poster Abstract Award. Details, presenters must be a member of the ISVS. Abstracts will not be reviewed if membership cannot be verified.
Trainees and junior faculty (within 5 years of completing their training) are invited to submit by e-mail, abstracts of their clinically relevant work for consideration at the VEITHsymposium Poster Session. Abstracts must be a maximum of 1 page in length (inclusive of title, authors, primary institution, corresponding author's e-mail address and cell phone number).
Abstracts will be selected by a distinguished panel of judges. The Poster Session viewing and formal judging will be announced in an upcoming VEITHsymposium e-newsletter). Judges will select the best posters based on a 3-minute oral presentation. The ISVS will sponsor cash prizes for 1st ($1,000) 2nd ($500) and 3rd ($250) place. Presenters will be notified at the symposium if they have been selected for an award and must be present in the Grand Ballroom (date and time to be announced) in order to receive their award.
It should be noted that neither the ISVS nor VEITHsymposium will reimburse for any costs incurred by participants of the Poster Session.
